anyways. a lot of what I've been creating has been kept under wraps, but essentially it is art the deals with the reexamination of process as well as how that correlates into the finished product, and the importance of the relation between the action, the materials, and the finished product as well.
I have really found the value in practicing hard at what I do, specifically but not limited to an instrument. In order to fully express an idea, sometimes I feel that technique is important. That is not to say that complicated hand work makes a good musical piece or a good art piece, but sometimes there are things you want to say that have varying levels of technique, and the ability to do what needs to be done in order to get these ideas across is crucial. This is an idea I have floundered around with, going from art that was pure technique, pop-surrealist "eye-candy" if you will, to strictly conceptual ideas. I think that in playing the piano and seeing the importance of some fancy finger-work at times, I began to reexamine my art and see that there is an importance to similarly grasp fancy brushwork , pen-work , or detailed action. However, I firmly believe that the best art is a piece of art that captures an aesthetic which can be talked about on many levels. This idea of art with "open closure" I feel is best shown with the development of conceptual ideas, and completely understanding the language that you are using in everything you do. Often, we are saying something we don't even realize when we put images together. It is essentially learning the language of everything. All symbology, connections, and histories can be explored through this language, but it truly takes a master to know exactly what it is you are saying with your own art. Essentially, every action can be an exploration of another if you have the insight to look at it from many angles. Essentially it is my goal to learn to mediate my stance concerning the physical world, philosophical theories, and psychoanalytical issues through the medium of art and its various forms... It is this exploration that intrigues, excites, and often keeps me up until the weeeeeeeeeeee hours of the morning.
well anyways, here is a link to my most current music

If you are interested I have quite a great deal of my recorded progress as well as composed pieces of piano and sound art, and would love to share my ideas with anyone.
Anyways... I'm currently working on devising a set for a directorial photography/mini installation project I am undertaking, I'll put up pictures of the finished product!
Well anyways, here is a picture of art I have found to be particularly inspirational as of late.
